About Us

At Aadesh Patola House, tradition meets excellence. Founded in 1969 in the village of Somasar, Surendranagar, we are dedicated to preserving the sacred art of Patola weaving. Under the guidance of Shri Vitthalbhai Govindbhai Vaghela, every saree we create is a testament to precision, patience, and purity. Our work is handcrafted by skilled artisans, not machines, and each thread carries the legacy of our land and people.

Our Story - From Loom to Legacy

Our story began in 1969 when Govindbhai Vaghela started weaving Patola with faith and skill in Somasar. What began as a small family craft grew over decades as more family members learned the art. Through honesty and dedication, Aadesh Patola House became a trusted name in Surendranagar and beyond - where silk is treated with reverence and colors carry our culture.

The Pioneer - Vitthalbhai Govindbhai Vaghela

Vitthalbhai is both a man of knowledge and a master artisan. He served as a Government Teacher while carrying forward his ancestral craft. Known across Surendranagar district as a Patola pioneer, Vitthalbhai proved that tradition and education can thrive together. His expertise in natural dyeing and design gave new life to Patola while keeping its soul intact.

Our Roots - Somasar Village

Somasar is more than a place; it is the source of our craft. From its soil rise the looms, and from its people comes the patience and pride that shape every saree. For the families of Somasar, weaving is not a business - it is devotion. Each saree we produce carries the essence of our village: humble, pure, and timeless.

Suggestions & Vision - The Road Ahead

To preserve and promote Patola, we aim to train new artisans, revive natural dyeing techniques, establish a Patola Craft Center in Surendranagar, expand our digital presence for global reach, and collaborate with government and cultural bodies for recognition and rural employment. Our goal is simple: let the world recognize Patola as a living heritage, handwoven with faith.

Closing Note

Patola is not my business; it is my dharma. Every saree we weave carries the strength of our ancestors and the blessings of our land.

- Vitthalbhai Govindbhai Vaghela
